Telangana to Implement Revised Land Registration Values From May 28 to Boost Revenue

Hyderabad: The Telangana government will implement revised market values for land registration across the State from May 28, aiming to strengthen revenue generation for the Stamps and Registrations Department.

Officials informed the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Resource Mobilisation during a meeting held on Friday that the revision, approved earlier by the State Cabinet, is expected to significantly increase departmental revenue collections.

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu at the Dr BR Ambedkar State Secretariat, was attended by Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu.

During the review, officials also informed the committee that the HILT Policy guidelines for the Industries Department had been finalised and that official orders would be issued shortly.

The sub-committee reviewed revenue performance and targets across several key departments, including Municipal Administration & Urban Development (MA&UD), Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Industries, Stamps and Registrations, Mining, Revenue, and Transport.

Officials were directed to identify and develop additional revenue generation avenues. Bhatti Vikramarka instructed all departments to align their resource mobilisation efforts with the 2026-27 budget estimates, prevent revenue leakages, and strictly follow pre-defined revenue calendars.

Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy also directed officials to take stern action against individuals and entities responsible for causing losses to the State exchequer.
