Mumbai Local Train Murder: Man Stabbed to Death After Dispute Over Closing Door

A 21-year-old man, Mayank Lohar, was allegedly stabbed to death inside a moving Mumbai local train after an argument over closing the coach door during heavy rain. The incident occurred in a first-class compartment of a Churchgate–Nallasopara fast local between Goregaon and Kandivali stations.

Police said the accused, Roshan Suvarna, was allegedly assaulted by some passengers during the dispute. Enraged, he reportedly pulled out a knife from his bag and fatally attacked Lohar before fleeing. The victim died on the spot.

A video from the train showed the accused holding a knife and walking away as passengers looked on in shock. Railway Police later arrested the accused from Mumbai’s Kurla area and launched an investigation.

The victim’s family has demanded strict punishment and justice for Mayank, describing him as a quiet young man who never got into fights.
