Telangana Request Urgent 30 Lakh Covid Doses from Central Govt.

Hyderabad, 10 April: Telangana Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar on Saturday wrote a letter to Rajesh Bhushan, Union Health Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare seeking 30 lakh doses of Covid vaccines that would least for the next 15 days.

In a letter Chief Secretary wrote as….

  • I would like to inform you that COVID-19 vaccination has been ramped up in Telangana. Due to concerted efforts, the number of vaccinations in the state in one day crossed 1.15 lakh yesterday.
  • In the coming days this will be enhanced to over 2 lakh per day.
  • As you are aware, Telangana State is left with only 5.66 lakh doses of vaccine which would last for 3 days at maximum.
  • Therefore, I would like to request you to urgently provide at least 30 lakh doses of vaccine to Telangana for the next 15 days.
