Chennai, 11 April: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 10 runs in their opening IPL match in Chennai on Sunday. Put in to bat, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 187/6.

Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi’s knocks of 80 and 53 were backed by a spirited bowling performance as Kolkata Knight Riders triumphed over SunRisers Hyderabad by 10 runs on Sunday here at the MA Chidambaram Stadium

Chasing 188 for a win, SRH could score 177/5 with Manish Pandey top-scoring with 61 not out of 44 Balls. Jonny Bairstow made a 40-ball 55.
