KTR Questions Silence of Telugu Media in Bandi Sanjay Son’s POCSO Case

Hyderabad: BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Congress government in Telangana, and sections of the Telugu vernacular media over the POCSO case involving Sanjay’s son, Bhagirath Sai.

The controversy has intensified as Bandi Sanjay is expected to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his upcoming Hyderabad visit, despite the ongoing case against his son. His participation in official and political events has sparked political debate and public attention across the State.

Taking to social media, KTR questioned the handling of the case and accused the Union Minister of misusing his position to shield his son. “Who’s dirtier?” Rama Rao asked, while alleging that the Congress government had remained silent even after the parents of a minor girl filed a case under the POCSO Act.

KTR also criticized sections of the Telugu media, alleging that many outlets were avoiding coverage of what he described as a “ghastly crime.” He accused both the ruling Congress government and the media of failing to respond seriously to the allegations.

The remarks come amid growing political controversy in Telangana, with opposition leaders raising concerns over the government’s alleged inaction and demanding accountability in the case.
