Amravati, 22 March: Andhra Pradesh state police has received key awards from three national-level organizations by securing 13 awards in a single day.
The state has won the prestigious award FICCI best state award in the category of smart Innovative policing for its outstanding performance in the country.
The awards were announced by three national organizations (Scotch, FICCI, NCRB-National Crime Records Bureau / Central Home Ministry) that recognize the use of modern technology in the country.
Andhra Pradesh is now the only state to receive 13 awards in a single day in Outstanding Policing. In addition, the AP Police Department has won a total of 125 national awards, including 17 this year.
Gautam Sawang, AP DGP also bagged the best DGP award in the country. The award was presented to Sawang as the best DGP in the country for providing full security to the citizens of the state along with maintaining law and order. The award was presented to him as a leader who led a transformational change in the police department.

DGP Gautam Sawang expressed happiness over winning the three awards said, he was committed to becoming more involved in public service. Meanwhile, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita congratulated DGP Gautam Sawang for receiving the awards.
