New Delhi: Indian government rejects as “baseless” a New York Times (NYT) report that Covid19 death in India were severely undercounted and underreported.
The New York Times in their Tuesday’s article said that India’s death count was more likely three times the official 3 lakh, basing it on data from three nationwide sero surveys or antibody tests.
VK Paul, Head of India’s Covid task force said, ” NYT report on COVID-19 toll in India completely baseless & false; not backed by any evidence and based on distorted estimates,”
