Hyderabad: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class 10 board examination results on May 13, 2025, marking another year of strong academic performance across the country. This year’s overall pass percentage stood at an impressive 93.66%, reflecting a modest but notable increase from the previous academic session.

National Overview

According to CBSE data, a total of 23,85,079 students registered for the Class 10 examinations this year. Of these, 23,71,939 students appeared for the exams, and 22,21,636 successfully passed, resulting in a nationwide pass percentage of 93.66%.

As with previous years, the southern regions of India continued their legacy of academic excellence. Cities such as Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada emerged as top-performing zones, reinforcing their consistent leadership in board examination outcomes.

Telangana Sets a New Benchmark

Out of 51,521 students who appeared for the exams from Telangana, an overwhelming 51,433 cleared them successfully.

Hyderabad, in particular, emerged as a standout performer. Several schools across the city achieved a perfect 100% pass result, underscoring the city’s commitment to academic rigor and quality education. Many students not only passed but did so with flying colors—numerous candidates scored above 97%, positioning themselves among the nation’s top performers.

Some of the most notable names in this year’s Telangana toppers include:

  • Uggi Hamsika

These students have brought pride to their families, schools, and the state with their outstanding academic accomplishments.

Educational authorities in Telangana hailed the performance as a reflection of focused teaching strategies, disciplined student efforts, and robust academic infrastructure in the state. “The results from Hyderabad schools are a testament to the high standards of education being upheld here,” said a senior CBSE official.

With yet another stellar performance, Telangana—especially Hyderabad—continues to affirm its status as one of India’s leading educational hubs.
