Lucknow: In a viral video, Waseem Rizvi, former chairman of UP Shia Central Waqf Board, has been accused of rape by his driver’s wife.
The driver’s wife, who went to Saadatganj police station with several lawyers and her husband on Tuesday, has demanded action against rape accused Rizvi.
The woman told reporters that Rizvi used to sexually assault by sending her husband (Rizvi driver) out of the city on the pretext of some work.
When the woman protested, Rizvi used to threaten to make her obscene videos and photos viral.
The woman further said that when she could not bear more and narrated the ordeal to her husband. When her husband tried to talk to Waseem Rizvi, he was also stripped and beaten up.
The Saadatganj police said they are investigating the rape charges based on the woman complaint and a case will be registered once evidence is gathered.
Meanwhile, Waseem Rizvi said that his driver was conniving with his rivals and was passing on his information to them.
