India raises concerns over Selective Targeting after a United States panel calls for sanctions on RAW & RSS.
India has rejected a report by the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) that recommended designating India as a “Country of Particular Concern” over religious freedom issues.
The report also urged sanctions on Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
India’s government called the report biased and selective, saying it presents a distorted picture of the country and ignores incidents affecting the Indian diaspora and Hindu temples in the United States.
