Chandigarh: A thief in Haryana, who had escaped with a bag containing more than 1,700 doses of COVID-19 vaccine today, returned the bag with note in Hindi (“Sorry, I didn’t know it was medicines for corona)
The bag with more than 1,700 Covishield and Covaxin doses was stolen from the Jind General Hospital’s storeroom.
Today around noon hours the thief gave the bag to a person at a tea shop near the Civil Lines police station, and told him that he was delivering food for the police and needed to run another delivery.
The Haryana police register a case and are hunting for the thief.
