Telangana: Rs 5 Lakh Bribe Burnt to Escape form ACB, Tehsildar, Aid Arrested by ACB

In order to escape from being caught by ACB officials, bolted the door of his house from inside and tried to burnt the Rs. 5 lakhs bribe amount on the gas stove in the kitchen.

Hyderabad, 7 April: A Mandal Tehsildar has been detained by Anti-Corruption Bureau’s officials for Rs 5 lakh bribe on Tuesday.

Saidulu, A Veldanda Mandal Tehsildar in Nagarkurnool, Telangana was trapped by Anti-Corruption Bureau officials when he demanded and accepted Rs. 5 lakhs bribe through Venkataiah Goud at his home from a person named Ramavath Ramulu.

The bribe was demanded for an official favour of issue a NOC and forward it to AD, Mines and Geology for grant of Quarry lease license to Ramavath Ramulu.

Venkataiah Goud, at the time of the ACB trap, in order to escape from being caught by ACB officials, bolted the door of his house from inside and tried to burnt the Rs. 5 lakhs bribe amount on the gas stove in the kitchen.

ACB official recovered partially burnt currency notes, from his house.

Further, a chemical test on his hands resulted a positive test.

Both the accused officer Saidulu along with Venkataiah Goud were arrested and produced before the Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases, Hyderabad.
