No Eid Prayers in Mosques in Hyderabad, Telangana, All Places of Worship Closed in Lockdown

Hyderabad: There will be no Eid prayers in the mosques across Telangana state including Hyderabad city, as the state government has ordered all places of worship to be closed during the ten-day closing on Wednesday.

A government order issued Tuesday night following the cabinet decision makes it clear that religious gatherings, congregations are not allowed during lockdown

The restrictions were imposed on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid is to be celebrated on Thursday or Friday, depending on the sighting of the new crescent.

Earlier, Telangana government announces 10 days lockdown to control the surge in Covid-19 cases. The Telangana State Cabinet has decided to implement the lockdown from 10 AM on Wednesday, May 12 for 10 Days.
