Spain: John McAfee, Antivirus software McAfee Founder was found dead in his jail cell in Spain on Wednesday.
According to a jail official, John McAfee, 75, commits suicide shortly after a Spanish court approved his extradition to the USA where he was wanted for tax evasion.
John McAfee has been in jail in Spain since he was arrested at Barcelona airport in October 2020, just as he was about to board a flight to Istanbul.
McAfee earned more than 10 million euros ($12 million) in the four years in question but never filed a tax return. If convicted, he could have faced up to 30 years in prison.
