Hyderabad: Detective Inspector Mahender Reddy of Mangalhat police station was suspended by Hyderabad Police Commissioner K Sreenivasa Reddy on Thursday for commemorating his birthday with criminals. Videos of the inspector celebrating his birthday with gambling organizers circulated widely on social media platforms, prompting the suspension by the top cop of the Hyderabad police. Following the circulation of the video clips on social media, authorities conducted an inquiry into the incident. Subsequently, Detective Inspector Mahender Reddy was found at fault and suspended. Allegations against him include maintaining amicable relations with Ganja smugglers, betting organizers, and other offenders.
