Hyderabad, 27 March: Telangana state government, today made it mandatory wearing face mask in all public places, work spaces and public means of transport shall be mandatory across the state, and if anyone don’t follow, a relevant case will be registered against them.
Government issues a formal circular today in this regard:
Government Order
- Wearing of face masks is one of the most important interventions to prevent COVID-19 infection.
- It is hereby reiterated that wearing of masks in all public places, work spaces and public means of transport shall be mandatory across the state. Any deviation in this regard shall attract prosecution under Sections 51 to 60 of Disaster Management Act 2005 and Section 188, IPC as well as other applicable laws.
- In exercise of powers conferred under the Disaster Management Act 2005, the undersigned, in his capacity as Chairperson, State Executive Committee hereby issues directions to all Collectors & District Magistrates and Commissioners/Superintendents of Police in the state to strictly implement the above instructions.
