Major City Landmarks Go Blue as part of WHO Campaign of World Antimicrobial Awareness Week

Hyderabad: On the occasion of the World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW), major landmarks in Hyderabad city were lit up in blue on Wednesday as part of the ‘Go Blue’ campaign initiated by the World Health Organization.

WHO headquarters in Geneva Flag of Switzerland is being lit up in blue circle during #WorldAntimicrobialAwarenessWeek.

Spread Awareness, Stop Resistance

World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is celebrated from 18-24 November every year. The 2021 theme, Spread Awareness, Stop Resistance, calls on One Health stakeholders, policymakers, health care providers, and the general public to be Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness champions.
