Hyderabad, 18 April: Five persons were killed and several others injured when the lorry they were travelling in overturned near Narkhuda village, Shamshabad on Sunday Evening.
Around 30 workers of brick kiln were going back home Sultanpally village in lorry after visiting the weekly vegetable market at Shamshabad bus stand.
The accident happened when the lorry slipped of the road and overturned while trying to avoid hitting a car.
Five persons were killed and three others sustained critical injuries when the lorry they were travelling in overturned at Shamshabad on Sunday evening. The incident happened when the group of 30 brick kiln workers, staying at Sultanpally village in Shamshabad mandal, were returning after visiting the weekly vegetable market at Shamshabad bus stand.
According to N Prakash Reddy, DCP Shamshabad, three persons who were in the lorry, came beneath the car, while two others beneath the lorry, Police manage to pull out the people after the lorry was moved with help of crane.
Deceased persons were identified as Krupa Sona 40-year-old, Gopal Deep, 45-year-old and Kala Kumar 25-year-old and two more.
Minor injured were shifted to different hospitals in Shamshabad and the critical injured are being treated in Osmania General Hospital.
A case has been registered against the lorry driver for carrying passengers, and further investigation is on.
