‘Kumbh Mela or Corona Atom Bomb’, ‘Hindus owe an Apology to Muslims’: Ram Gopal Varma

Hyderabad, 13 April: Ram Gopal Varma, Indian Film Director & Producer in a series of tweets express shocking worries on people participating in ongoing Kumbh Mela, in Haridwar were seen openly breaking Covid-19 protocol.

The state administration said it’s trying its best, but there are limitations in managing such huge gatherings, and enforcing social distancing is very challenging.

According to sources, more than 30 lakh people gathered in Kumbh and took a dip in the Ganga between Sunday midnight and Monday 3 pm.

The Kumbh Mela is being held at a time when India is under attack by the second wave of Covid-19.

Several states have imposed night curfews and other restrictions to break the chain of transmission.

There are reports of states facing shortage of Covid-19 vaccines and hospital beds for Covid-19 patients.
