Hyderabad: Kalvakuntla Kavitha launched a new political party, Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS), on April 25 in Hyderabad. The name has drawn attention because it closely resembles the old Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
The original TRS was founded by her father, K. Chandrashekar Rao, which is now known as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Kavitha was earlier suspended from this party, leading to her exit.
Explaining her decision, Kavitha said Telangana’s dreams remain unfulfilled even after statehood. She criticized the BRS leadership, including KCR, saying the party had lost its direction and failed the people.
She also apologized for her past association with the BRS and promised that her new party would work with empathy and focus on public welfare. Here’s a short & simple summary 👇
