Exempt Advocates from Lockdown, High Court Asks Telangana Govt.

Hyderabad: Telangana High court is hearing a petition seeking exemptions for the advocates from lockdown restrictions.

A petition was submitted by an advocate Jayant Jayasurya in Telangana High Court seeking exemptions referring to other states in which advocates are exempted from lockdown restrictions.

The High court has instructed the Attorney General to consider the police officials of the High Court’s rulings. However, Attorney General has sought time and told the High Court that he will inform the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar.

Meanwhile the High Court has told the petitioner to wait till the government’s reply and posted the next hearing on May 31, 2021.
