Cockroach Janta Party to Hold Protest at Jantar Mantar, Demands Education Minister’s Resignation

Carry Tiranga, Wear Sunscreen, Record Everything

New Delhi, June 5: The satirical political outfit, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), is set to stage a protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on June 6, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over recent controversies surrounding NEET and CBSE examinations.

The demonstration marks the party’s first major public protest and is being led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, whose online campaign has gained significant attention among students and young people expressing concerns over examination-related issues.

In a message posted on social media platform X, Dipke urged supporters to assemble near the Parliament Street Police Station, adjacent to Jantar Mantar, at 9 a.m. on June 6.

“Time to turn this tiny joke into a revolution. Get ready to swarm the streets of Delhi with peaceful and loving dissent,” the party said in its appeal to supporters.

Ahead of the protest, the organisation released a set of guidelines for participants. Demonstrators have been encouraged to carry the national flag and a book as symbols of support for education and equal opportunity. Organisers also advised attendees to peacefully document the event, report any suspicious activity to law enforcement authorities, and take necessary precautions against the summer heat.

Participants have been asked to carry drinking water, wear caps, and use sunscreen during the protest, which is expected to draw students and supporters from across the country.

The protest comes amid ongoing debates and criticism related to examination administration and education policies, with organisers calling for greater accountability within the education system.
