British PM Boris Johnson Cancels India Visit Due To COVID-19

New Delhi: Boris Johnson, British Prime Minister has cancelled India visit due to current coronavirus situation across India.

British Prime Minister was schedule to visit on April 25.

“In the light of the current coronavirus situation, Prime Minister Boris Johnson will not be able to travel to India next week,” Downing Street said in a joint statement on behalf of the British and Indian governments. They will remain in regular contact beyond this, and look forward to meeting in person later this year,” the statement said.

According to sources, British Prime Minister will instead speak to PM Narendra Modi later this month to unveiling their plans for the future UK-India partnership.
