Hyderabad, 1 April: Rachakonda police arrested a youth today for harassing a woman by sending indecent & obscene messages through Social Media platform.
Rohit, 23-year-old, resident of Mazidpura, Abdullapurment, Ranga Reddy District, was booked under section 354, 509 IPC and Sec. 67A IT Act of Cyber Crime.
The accused Person is addicted to watching porn videos through Internet on his mobile phone and he decided to develop intimacy with unknown women through social media platforms. In January 2021 he has created a fake Instagram account on the name of Sravan_685 using his mobile number and email ID details and started sending vulgar messages and memes in ‘Fun Club Group’ (Instagram) to complainant and other victims.
During the course of Investigation, the police team collected all the technical evidences and after analyzing the data, on credible information, the accused was arrested today and is being produced for judicial custody.
Police advise people that, do not accept unknown person’s friend requests on social media platforms.
