Delhi Police Arrested 17 People for Posters, “Arrest Me Too” Priyanka, Rahul Gandhi Tweets

New Delhi: 17 people have been arrested by the Delhi police over posters criticizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

The posters that came up in Delhi in the past few days, says “ Modi Ji, Hamare Bacchon ki Vaccine Videsh Kyon Bhej Diya (Modi Ji, why did you send vaccines meant for our children, abroad?)

According to media reports, Delhi police also registered around 21 cases under the Defacement of Public Property Act & Section 188 in the matter relating to the posters.

Reacting to the arrest by Delhi police, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and several other political leaders hit out at the government’s handling of the Covid crisis and joined gesture of protest,

Priyanka Gandhi changed her Twitter profile picture to the poster itself.

Rahul Gandhi, “Arrest me too,” Rahul Gandhi tweeted today in both English and Hindi, along with the “white Hindi words on black background” poster that led to the arrests. It read: “Modi Ji, why did you send vaccines meant for our children, abroad?”

The Aam Aadmi Party said, we have put up these posters, and now we will do it all over the country. If you have to arrest us then do not make those poor poor posters. Why do you have to send our Vaccine abroad? Why was it sent to Pakistan?
