Tragic Road Accident Claims Lives of Two Telangana Students in the USA

USA: Two promising students from Telangana, India, tragically lost their lives in a road accident while in the United States. Mukka Nivesh, a 20-year-old from Karimnagar, and Goutham Kumar, a 19-year-old from Station Ghanpur, were killed in a collision with a truck on Saturday night in Arizona. The incident occurred during a weekend excursion to waterfalls, leaving two others injured and currently under medical care in a local hospital.

The fatal accident took place in Phoenix, Arizona, as Nivesh and Goutham’s vehicle was hit from behind by another car. Both young men succumbed to the impact of the crash. Peoria Police Department confirmed the deaths of the two Indian students, identifying them as Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Parsi, both aged 19. The collision involved a Kia Forte carrying the students and a Ford F150, and it occurred on Castle Hot Springs Road, near Lake Pleasant Access Road and State Route 74.

The driver of the Ford F150 sustained serious injuries but has since been released from the hospital after receiving treatment. Similarly, the Kia Forte’s driver, who also suffered severe injuries, has been discharged from medical care. Authorities are still investigating whether speed or impairment played a role in the accident. While the road was temporarily closed for the investigation, it reopened early Sunday morning.

Nivesh was a second-year computer science engineering student at Arizona State University and the grandson of the esteemed Dr. Mukka Krishnamurthy. His parents, Naveen and Swathi, both physicians, are awaiting further information from Arizona police and are making arrangements to repatriate their sons’ bodies to India.
