Hyderabad City Police have arrested several accused persons in connection with the murder of senior advocate Khaja Moizuddin, who was allegedly killed in a planned vehicle attack near his residence at Masab Tank on May 23, 2026.
According to police, the advocate was leaving for swimming in the early hours of the morning when a Scorpio vehicle allegedly rammed into him intentionally. He sustained grievous injuries in the attack and later succumbed while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The case was initially registered at Nampally Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Following the victim’s death, the case was altered to include murder charges.
During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage from the area, which reportedly showed the accused waiting near the victim’s residence before deliberately hitting him with the vehicle and fleeing the scene. Investigators stated that the accused allegedly developed a grudge against the advocate over ongoing court cases and legal setbacks.
According to the police, Mujahid Alam Khan and Mahaboob Alam Khan allegedly conspired with associates to carry out a contract killing for ₹15 lakh. The accused are believed to have monitored the advocate’s movements for several months before executing the attack.
The arrested accused have been identified as:
- Mujahid Alam Khan
