Hyderabad: An 18-month-old boy tragically died after being mauled by a pack of stray dogs in Jawahar Nagar, Hyderabad, police reported on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Tuesday night when the boy wandered out of his house. A dog dragged him a distance before other strays bit him, causing severe injuries, according to the police.
Initially, the boy was taken to a private hospital but was later referred to a state-run hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, a police official from the Jawahar Nagar police station stated.
Following a complaint from the boy’s parents, a case has been registered. The family, originally from Siddipet district, had moved to Jawahar Nagar two months before the incident.
