Comedian and Actor Ali Asgar Performs Haj, Shares Video of Holy Journey
Comedian and actor Ali Asgar joined numerous Indians in performing Haj this year, sharing visuals of his pilgrimage on Instagram. On Friday, he posted a photo after completing the rituals, captioning it, “ALLAH’s timing is always perfect Jumma Mubarak.” In another post from Makkah, he expressed gratitude, saying, “Kaaba … place where I always wanted to be ..Thank You for this opportunity ‘Allah’.”
Ali Asgar is well-known for his roles in Indian TV serials and movies, gaining popularity as Kamal Agarwal in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and Inspector Raj Aryan in F.I.R. He is best recognized for his portrayal of Dadi in Kapil Sharma’s shows Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. Other Indian celebrities who performed Haj this year include tennis icon Sania Mirza, former actress Sana Khan, and Warda Khan, wife of Sajid Nadiadwala.

Anam Mirza posted a touching photo of herself with Sania and their father, highlighting the emotional significance of their pilgrimage. Influencer Sahar Afsha also shared a video of her enlightening experience with the group.
Sana Khan, who left the acting world in 2020 to focus on humanitarian work, joined the Mirza family on this significant spiritual journey. Sania Mirza expressed her hopes to return from Hajj as a better person, sharing a heartfelt note on Instagram.
Despite the spiritual focus, Sania faced rumors about a potential marriage to Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, which her father dismissed as false. The rumors stemmed from a morphed photo of Sania’s wedding to her ex-husband, Shoaib Malik, with Shami’s face superimposed on Malik’s. Sania and Shoaib, who have a son named Izaan, separated in January after Shoaib married actor Sana Javed. Overall, the pilgrimage was a profound experience for both families, filled with reflection, prayer, and a deep sense of unity.
