Hyderabad: 3 persons including a medical shop owner, lab technician, and a medical representative arrested for black-marketing Remdesivir.
The arrested were identified as
- Aithibamula Sreenaiah (41), owner of Srinivasa Medical and General Store,
- Bestha Ramchander (40), Lab technician, and
- Komala Karthik (31), Medical representative.
Bestha Ramchander purchased Remdesiver in Rs25,000 and used Komala Karthik to deliver it to Aithibamula Sreenaiah, where he was supposed to sell in Rs35,000,
On Thursday, Karthik was delivering three injections to the pharmacy when the police caught them red-handed.
According to The Rachakonda police, on a tip of information that the Remdesivir was selling in at Rs 35,000 at the Srinivasa Medical & General Stores in Boduppal. The police team along with the drug inspector rushed to the medical shop where Karthik was delivering three injections and arrested them red-handed with Remdesivir injections.
