Covid19, Ventilators Transported in Garbage Truck in Surat, Gujarat

Around 34 ventilators were transported from Valsad to various hospitals in Surat district in a garbage truck of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC).

Surat, 06 April: In the aftermath of the Covid-19 surge in Gujarat state, ventilators were being transported in a garbage trucks to hospitals in the Surat to ease the ventilator shortage.

According to sources around 34 ventilators were transported from Valsad to various hospitals in Surat district in a garbage truck of Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC).

Gujarat is observing a shortage of ventilators, Gujarat state reported 3,160 coronavirus cases highest since the beginning of pandemic.

RR Rawal, Valsad Collector said he received information that the ventilators were transported in the Garbage Trucks which were sent by the Surat Municipal Corporation, he said has ordered an inquiry in the matter.
