Two Arrested, for Stealing Friends Debit Card and Withdrawing Lakhs of Rupees in Goa

Hyderabad, 04 April: Cyber Crime team of Rachakonda Police arrested a Inter State Due for Debit Card Theft on Saturday, who used stolen ATM card are pubs, and withdraw money in Goa.

Both accused Poolakunta Srinivasulu (28), native of Anantapur District, AP, and Avija Uday Manish (19), native of Kurnool, AP, came to Hyderabad in search of jobs who met in a Hostel at Ameerpet. There they aquatinted with One Ganesh, and all became good friends.

Later Ganesh introduce victim to Srinivasulu and Manish frequently used to visit victim’s home.

In the month of February 2021, the victim asked Srinivasulu and Manish to come her home to pick the Puppy Dog available at her house. On which the accused persons visited victim’s home and asked Rs.500/- from her for Auto charges. Due to un-availability of cash, so the victim handed over her phone and revealed her ATM and UPI PIN to accused for money transfer.

Srinivasulu and Manish took the advantage transferred Rs.5000/- from her account to their accounts without her knowledge and also knowing about her ATM card in her hand bag, they stolen it and kept with them. Later they went to Goa withdrew the amounts of about 3,10,000/- through ATM counters and Pubs, thereafter they even purchased two mobile phones. After spending lavishly, they went back to their native places and turned off their personal mobile phones. Thus, the accused Srinivasulu and Manish cheated the complainant.

During the course of Investigation, the cyber team collected the technical evidences/CCTV footages and on a credible information, the accused persons was arrested on Saturday and sent them to judicial custody.

Rachakonda police advises netizens that, if your bank cards lost/stolen, immediately block the accounts by contacting the customer support and never ever share your PIN numbers to anyone.
