Himayat Sagar Gates Opened Today after Water Reached the Top

Hyderabad: One of the Himayat Sagar gates opened, more gates to be opened soon. Heavy Rains that have been pouring into the city and its surrounding areas for more than a week have resulted in heavy inflows into the Himayat Sagar tank.

Hyderabad: Floodgates of Himayatsagar reservoir will be opened on Tuesday any time after 4 PM.

According to Dana Kishore, Managing Director Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) Floodgates of Himayatsagar reservoir will be opened on Tuesday any time after 4 PM.

The Hyderabad water board has issued a red alert when the water levels in the Himayatsagar reservoir upstream have reached the brim and touches 1,762.75 feet following heavy rains in catchment areas on Tuesday

HMWSSB official who monitors water levels issued an alert to those ln low lying areas especially of Bandlaguda, Sun City colony, Kismatpur, and Boudeville.
