Hyderabad: Hyderabad civic body, GHMC plans to restore and beautify six lakes in the city with walking tracks set to come up beside the lakes.

After the instruction of MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao, Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi carried out inspections of six lakes in Qutbullahpur and the water body near Taj Banjara here on Thursday.

KT Rama Rao directed the Hyderabad Mayor to find appropriate solutions for the Hyderabad lakes after they were raised by citizens on Twitter addressing KT Rama Rao.

The Hyderabad Mayor Vijayalakshmi visited the six lakes including one in Qutbullahpur and later inspected the Taj Banjara Lake along with concerned officials and directed them to ensure the lakes are maintained clean. She also asked the officials to develop walking tracks.
