Danish Siddiqui, Reuter’s Indian Journo Killed in Clashes in Afghanistan

Afghanistan: Danish Siddiqui, the Pulitzer Prize-Winning Indian photojournalist, a Reuters photojournalist, was killed in clashes in Spin Boldak district in Kandahar on Friday.

Danish Siddiqui was embedded with the Afghan Special Forces covering the ongoing crisis in Afghanistan and was killed in clashes in Spin Boldak district in Kandahar

The Indian journalist was covering the situation in Kandahar over the last few days.

Danish begins his career as a television news correspondent and later switched to photojournalism and joined Reuters as an intern in 2010.

Danish has since covered the Battle of Mosul (2016–17), the April 2015 Nepal earthquake, the refugee crisis arising from the Rohingya genocide, the 2019–2020 Hong Kong protests, the 2020 Delhi Riots, and the COVID-19 pandemic among other stories in South Asia, Middle East, and Europe.

Danish was currently heading the Reuters Pictures team in India.
