Kerala: Support and love from across India poured for Naveen K Razak and Janaki Omkumar, both medical students belong to different religions from Thrissur who faced communal remarks after their dance video went viral on social media. Which was uploaded by Naveen K Razak on his Instagram account.
In the video, Naveen K Razak and Janaki Omkumar can be seen dancing to the song, Rasputinby the Euro-Caribbean band Boney M.
Communal Remarks
After a communal remark by Krishna Raj, advocate, who shared his views against the dance. Claiming that he smells something wrong, he asked Janaki’s parents to be careful. Krishna Raj also mention a case wherein; a dental student has allegedly changed her name from Nimisha to Fathima after the marriage with a Muslim man.
Reacting to his communal remarks, support and love from across India poured for Naveen K Razak and Janaki Omkumar, by including politicians and students from various colleges.
Shashi Tharoor, MP wrote on his tweet… “These kids deserve applause and encouragement, instead of the Hindutva venom being spewed at them because of their different religions. They ooze both talent & comradeship, the best of Young India. And they will make empathetic doctors one day”
