Covid19 2nd Wave in India? 63K New Cases, 312 Death, Biggest Jump Since October

New Delhi, 28 March: India recorded 62,714 new cases in the last 24 hours, biggest surge in last five months, the updated total infected persons reached almost 1.2 crore across India.

India registers a sharp rise in cases for the 18th day in a row. The highest in this month recorded with 63,371 cases on October 16. With 312 deaths, the highest surge in nearly three months, the total number of fatalities due to the coronavirus reached 1,61,552.

Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state while other states like Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, etc. continue to report a surge in the daily new cases.
