Bank Security Guard Opens Fire, Injured an Employee in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Infuriated over repeated teasing by a colleague, the security guard of a bank opened fire and injured him on Wednesday at the State Bank of India in the Gunfoundry area near Abids. The injured person is out of danger.

According to police, the bank security guard, identified as Md Sardar Khan, 54, allegedly fires three rounds using his double barrel breech-loading (DBBL shotgun) which was issued to him by the agency at B. Surender, an attender, who sustained injuries.

According to police, Sardar Khan two fires hit the bank’s wall, the third round brushed below Surender’s left rib cage, leaving a flesh wound.” Surender is reportedly out of danger.

Surender had a habit of teasing Khan in the office and making fun of him in front of others,” said the official.

The Abids Police arrest Sardar Khan, his weapon was seized. Forensic teams and senior police officials inspected the spot, and a case was booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC and other sections of the Arms Act.
