Hyderabad: Hyderabad police on Saturday night arrested three people for selling sharp-edged swords and daggers near New Hills Hotel, Band Lane, Basheerbagh.
Hyderabad police raided a godown of Mahaveer gifts and novelties in Siddiamber bazaar and seized 87 big swords and 8 daggers.
The arrested people were identified as Raj Kumar, 55y, Ankit Lal, 21y and Syed Khaleel, 20y old, and also seized a two-wheeler and three mobile phones from their possession.
According to the police, Raj Kumar, a resident of Attapur, owns that Mahaveer gifts and Novelties in Cinthala complex, Siddiamber Bazar and were selling weapons also.
Raj Kumar hires Ankit Lal, and Syed Khaleel to sell swords and daggers in Hyderabad for the use of wedding and festival seasons.
