Govt Offices in Telangana to Function with 50% Staff

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government decided to start functioning with 50% of staff. The orders which will come into effect commencing from Monday, will remain in force up to July 4.

Distribution to Staff as Follows:

Secretariat 50% Staff on Alternate Daily Basis: The State Secretariat and other State-level government offices will function with only 50% of their staff, with employees attending their duties on an alternate day basis. The Telangana State government issued fresh guidelines to contain spread of COVID-19 in the government offices, after sporadic cases of the epidemic were reported in the State Secretariat and other government offices.

Office Subordinates 50% on Alternate Weekly Basis: Only 50 per cent of the office subordinates, data entry operators and other Class-IV employees will attend duty on every alternate week basis.

50% Clerical Staff on Alternate Daily Basis: Only 50 per cent of clerical staff and circulating officers will come to their respective offices on an alternate day basis.

Officers on Daily Basis: Since the officers having separate chambers allotted to them, will continue to attend duty on a regular basis. All the employees who are not on duty on a day, must remain in the headquarters and should be available to return to the office on a short notice.

Stay at Home for Pregnant and Comorbidities. Officers or staff with vulnerabilities like pregnancy or comorbidities have been advised to stay at home duly taking appropriate leave including casual leave, earned leave, half-pay leave based on medical certification. They should remain available in the headquarters and attend to any urgent duties in case of emergency.

No Visitors Allowed Except with Appointments: Further, no visitors will be permitted into the government offices without the authorization of the official concerned and on prior appointment.

Regular disinfection and Sanitization of Offices: Regular disinfection of the office premises and vehicles will be taken up. All infection prevention protocols including regular hand washing, sanitation, wearing masks and other guidelines should be strictly followed. Not more than three persons in addition to the lift operator should be allowed in the lift.

No Air conditioners in Offices: While all the officers have been advised to refrain from using air conditioners and ensure adequate ventilation in their respective rooms.

Drivers were Instructed Not to Group: The drivers have been instructed not to gather in the parking and instead, sit in the respective Peshis.
