Ahmedabad, 24 FEB: Sardar Patel Stadium in Motera after refurbishment renamed the Narendra Modi Stadium, is inaugurated today by President of India Ram Nath Kovind.

Amit Shah-Home Minister, Kiren Rijiju-Sports Minister were also present at the inauguration of stadium which has a capacity of 1,32,000.
The stadium will host its first international test match on Wednesday, when between Indian and England.
“This stadium is an example of eco-friendly development,” he added.
“Ahmedabad will be known as the ‘sports city’ of India,” he added.
