Hyderabad, 06 March: North Zone Police Task Force arrested most wanted cheater & habitual white-collar offender a former Ranji Cricketer for impersonating as Personal Secretary to KT Rama Rao, Minister of IT E&C, MA&UD, and extracting money and and cheated 9 Corporate companies including Hospital, Realtor, Educational Institutions.
Budumuru Nagaraju, 25-year-old is native of Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh.
Earlier also he was booked in 10 cases in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and
recently involved in 9 more cases.
Hyderabad police seized 10 Lakh rupees and a mobile phone, and he is now booked in 9 case under sections 379, 406, 409, 419, 420, 485, 511, in different police stations as,
1. Banjara Hills PS, for collecting Rs.4,78,000.
2. Osmania University PS for collecting Rs. 1,00,000.
3. Sanath Nagar PS, Cyberabad, for collecting Rs.7,42,000.
4. Madhapur PS, Cyberabad for collecting Rs. 17,50,400.
5. Gachibowli PS, Cyberabad, for collecting Rs. 4,52,000.
6. Kukatpally PS, Cyberabad for collecting Rs.4,00,000.
7. Banjara Hills PS (Demanded)
8. Bachupally PS, Cyberabad (Demanded) (Cr 151)
9. Bachupally PS, Cyberabad (Demanded) (Cr 155)
Budumuru Nagaraju is in habit of targeting corporate companies, Corporate Hospitals, realtors, Educational Institutions, search phone numbers on Google website. Made phone calls to them introducing himself as Bandari Tirupathi, Personal secretary to Sri. K. T. Ramarao, Hon’ble Minister for IT, Telangana State and informs that the Hon’ble Minister Sri. K. T. Rama Rao is swearing as CM of Telangana State to arrange the programme at LB stadium, he demanded money from them for erecting hoardings, giving advertisements through Print & Electronic Media for the programme of swearing ceremony.
In this Modus operandi Budumuru Nagaraju cheated 9 corporate companies &collected an amount of Rs.39,22,400.
Previously he was booked in 10 cases in Vishakapatnam, Cyberabad, Hyderabad, Nellore, Machavaram, Guntur, and Balanagar. He has extracted huge amounts from few companies impersonating as PAs to different ministers.
Budumuru Nagaraju is belongs of Srikakulam District, AP State. Previously resided at Madhurawada in Visakhapatnam. He is an MBA graduate and unmarried. Previously represented Andhra Pradesh in Ranji Trophy matches during 2014-2016.
In his career, Nagaraju started getting sponsorships from different firms and got habituated to luxurious lifestyle and having bad vices. At present he is not in cricket game and started targeting corporate companies and demanding money from them by posing himself as PA to IT Minister. He is having criminal record since 2018 with a motive to earn easy money illegally to spend lavishly.
Previously arrested in 10 Cases and released on bail, but he didn’t change his attitude after coming out on bail, continued his cheating attitude.
