Gujrat, 02 March: Amrabhai Boricha, 50, a Dalit RTI activist was allegedly killed inside his home and injured his daughter on Tuesday by allegedly a group of Kshatriyas in village Sanodar, Ghogha in Bhavnagar district in Gujarat.
Deceased daughter told media that, the incident happened around 4:30 pm on Tuesday when an around 50 members Kshatriyas of the village passed through their house while both were standing outside their home. “They returned a while later and started throwing stones on us. As my father rushed inside the house for safety, the assailants broke the gate, barged in and attacked my father with iron pipes and sword and killed my father.”
According to reports earlier, Boricha, farmer and activist, a month ago had complained in the Ghogha police station against the Kshatriyas, but SI Solanki did not register an FIR. The Kshatriyas were trying to grab Boricha’s agricultural land as well as residential plot.
Since his complaint was not registered by the police, Boricha approach the court. The daughter told media that her father was also attacked in 2013 and his leg was broken.
