Jagtial, 27 FEB: Saikumar, 42-year-old, deputy-sarpanch of Sirpur of Mallapur Mandal, committed suicide early on Saturday morning. He was under suspicion to have consumed pesticide.
According to police sources, Sarpanch was found dead in his room, by his family members on Saturday morning. He is suspected to take a drastic step and committed suicide due to family disputes.
Assistant Sub Inspector of police, Satyanarayana visited the sarpanch home, and further investigation in process.
The sarpanch body has been shifted to hospital for a postmortem examination.
