Hyderabad, 26 FEB: The Hyderabad police have rescued Amaranath Reddy a businessman in just 3 hours after he was kidnapped.
Anjani Kumar, Hyderabad City Police Commissioner said in a press briefing, “The Hyderabad City Police on Thursday were able to arrest four kidnappers V Kumara Guru, Paluru Lokesh Kumar, S Jagadish and PK Ganesh Kumar alongside rescuing the Amarnath Reddy (victim).
Two more accused, Pradeep Natarajan and Keerthana are still absconding.

- A Complaint filed by the Amarnath Reddy’s wife K Kalapana Reddy,
- At about 1320 hours she received a phone call from her husband phone number 9618113113,
- Kidnapper said that Amarnath Reddy was kidnapped and asked to arrange Rs.4 lakhs to Pradeep account for him to be released.
- Also received a call from unknown caller bearing No 9944228070 to arrange four lakhs.
- They continuously called her and said that her husband has to give four lakhs rupees and demanded to immediately send to the bank account which they have given before 5 PM or else they will take her husband along with car to Chennai and will kill him.
- Kalapana Reddy talked with her husband, he said that around 7 unknown persons had kidnap him from Madhapur, if he does not give the money, they are threatening to kill him and were beating. He asked her immediately to arrange the money and send to Pradeep’s account.
- Police special team has been formed to trace out the victim K Amaranath Reddy and as well as apprehension of the accused persons.
- Police Banjara Hills arranged Cash and sent the photos from the complainant cell phone to the kidnappers.
- kidnappers instructed the complainant to come to Srinagar Colony, Banjara Hills along with cash, at about 18.30 hours.
- The complainant along with police special team proceeded to Srinagar Colony wherein police laid a trap where two kidnappers came to Srinagar Colony along with the victim car.
- While handing over the money, police apprehend kidnapper, interrogated, and enquired the whereabouts of the other kidnappers and collected the cell phone numbers of the kidnappers and collected the call details of the kidnappers and their tower location and it is revealed that the kidnapper were travelling from Hyderabad via Nalgonda towards Chennai.
- Immediately the local police station of Madugulapally Police Station, Nalgonda were alerted wherein they apprehend three kidnappers along with car.
