Hyderabad: The chief electoral officer of Telangana dismissed as “fake” a viral video alleging rigging in a Bahadurpura, polling booth of Hyderabad Constituency during the recent Lok Sabha elections on May 13.

The video depicted activity inside a polling station, with claims of manipulation.

However, the electoral officer clarified that the video was old and not related to any recent elections in Telangana, including the Parliamentary election.

Chief Electoral Office of Telangana wrote on X as…

“An OLD video purportedly depicting rigging during Parliament elections in Telangana is being circulated on WhatsApp. The video is NOT from Telangana. For more facts, please go through the press note – CEO Telangana”
