Kolkata: Mamata Banerjee Silent Protest on EC’s 24H Ban on West Bengal Election Campaign

Kolkata, 13 April: Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal CM, and TMC chief protesting and sits on dharna at Kolkata’s Gandhi Murti against the 24-hour campaigning ban imposed on her by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Mamata Banerjee during silent (without any TMC supporters or leaders) protest turned to painting,  she poured colours on the palette and produced a painting.

Mamata Banerjee has received support from various opposition leaders of different parties, including Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut and DMK’s MK Stalin.

The Election Commission of India must ensure a level playing field for all parties and candidates and ensure that impartiality and neutrality is maintained.
