IPL Matches Suspended after many Players Tested Positive for Covid-19
According to BCCI sources, after many players and a coach tested positive for COVID-19, Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 has been suspended indefinitely.
The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in an emergency meeting has unanimously decided to postpone IPL 2021 season with immediate effect.
Players who Tested Positive
- Varun Chakravarthy (KKR)
- Sandeep Warrier (KKR)
- Lakshmipathy Balaji (CSK, bowling coach)
- CSK travel team support staff member
- Player (SRH)
As per IPL protocol, Chennai Super King and SunRisers Hyderabad squad has been kept in isolation.
