Four Killed in Road Accidents in Hyderabad: 2 at JP Darga Road, 2 at Gachibowli Road

Hyderabad: Four people were killed in two separate road accidents on Sunday, August 4.

In the first incident, a mother and son died in a head-on collision between an Activa scooter and a TSRTC bus on J P Dargah Road, Kothur mandal, Ranga Reddy district.

The victims, Hajira Begum, 35, and her son Abdul Rahim, 12, were returning to Chandrayangutta with Abdul Rahman, 10, when the accident occurred near Nandigama.

Rahman sustained injuries. “Hajira Begum and Rahim died on the spot due to severe injuries,” said Nandigama police. A case has been registered.

In the second incident at Gachibowli, Two youths riding a bike died after falling from a flyover in Hyderabad on Sunday, police said.

The accident occurred on the Kothaguda flyover on Gachibowli Road under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

K. Rohith, 27, a software engineer, and Bala Prasanna, 26, who was searching for a job, both residents of Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, were traveling from Masjid Banda to Hafeezpet. Rohith, driving at high speed, collided with the median, causing both to be flung off the bike and fall onto the road below.

They were taken to the hospital in critical condition but succumbed to their injuries during treatment. The police have shifted their bodies to Osmania Hospital for autopsy and have started an investigation.
