Son Left Mother Died Body on Footpath at Banjara Hills

Hyderabad: Son left the dead body of an old age mother at footpath at Banjara Hills Road No. 2 on Sunday who died due to fever.

68 years old Bhagirathi, resident of Nizamabad had come to see her son Ramesh one week ago. However, since the past few days Bhagirathi had been suffering from illness and the family could not get her to any hospital because they did not have any money, Police said.

According to, S Kalinga Rao, SHO Banjara Hills, When Ramesh mother died on Saturday night at the house of her son located at Banjara Hills Road No 2. “Ramesh suspected that his mother had died due to Corona and asked few of his friends. Since he did not have any money for cremation, he left the body of mother with a bed sheet and kept it on the pavement at Banjara Hills Road No. 2.

During investigation police Banjara Hills come to know that the woman often visited the city from Nizamabad and sometimes sat near the local mosque.

The police questioned Ramesh and discovered that he was living in a rented single room at Shaukathnagar and was afraid to tell the people about the death of his mother alleged due to Covid-19 and had abandoned the body at the foot path.
